Talking Through Trust Issues You Might Have With Your Girlfriend

Trust issues are always kind of a big deal as a relationship progresses. You can't expect to have a totally happy and harmonious relationship if there are trust issues, can you? The problem is, they can be hard to talk about and as a result, a lot of couples will end up just not talking about them until the issues cause a rift in the relationship and at that point, it can sometimes be too late. You really should be able to communicate and talk with your girlfriend about any trust issues that you might be having.

It Might Not Be As Bad As You Think -

One of the reasons why these kinds of conversations are often avoided is because we imagine that they are going to open up a can of worms and that it is going to wind up being a mistake. That's not always the case. While you might imagine that nothing good can come of having a conversation about trust issues with your girlfriend, it's probably not going to be as bad as you think it will be. It might actually be really good and might help to strengthen your relationship with her.

How to Get Started -

You have to first know exactly what you want to talk about. For example, one of the more common trust issues that doesn't get talked about, is not feeling like you can trust that she is going to be totally faithful to you. Now, I know that it is hard to even imagine bringing this topic up, but it can be done if you think about what you want to say without over dramatizing it. So, here is what I mean: You know that she has a male friend that seems to be into her as more than just a friend. And that makes you worried. Most men just let that fester inside and they don't say anything about it at all.

What you might want to do - is to bring up the fact that you might think that this guy likes her as more than just a friend. Not in a way that makes you sound jealous or insecure, just in a way that makes you sound more curious as to how she sees things. This can get things right out in the open. You might find out that she already kind of knows that her male friend likes her as more than just a friend, but that she doesn't have any of those kinds of feelings at all.

And knowing about the way that she feels might just allow you to feel a little better about things. This is just one example. There are obviously a lot of things that you might have trust issues over. If you are able to bring up the topic in a non confrontational way and get her talking, you might find that you have nothing at all to worry about. About the Author:
