GIA Uncovers the Fascinating World of Diamonds in Ambala
Institute to offer five-day diamond course in the city

GIA (Gemological Institute of America), a nonprofit institute considered the world leader in gem and jewellery education, is conducting a practical five-day programme on diamonds in Ambala district starting August 18th, 2014.GIA student Manoj Gulati from Gurgaon city in Haryana says, “GIA has been a life changing experience. Students in GIA’s Diamond Grading Lab Class work with real diamonds and professional Gemmological tools to uncover the fascinating world inside these gems. The class teaches both technical and practical ways to observe and evaluate diamond quality, and the basics of the famous 4Cs (colour, cut, clarity and carat weight), an evaluation system created by GIA. Students also learn how the 4Cs can affect value and about the ways in which diamond treatments can affect the appearance of a stone.
Taught by experienced and qualified GIA instructors, the course is ideal for hobbyists, jewellery enthusiasts, connoisseurs, students and working professionals interested in diamonds. The programme starts August 18th,2014 in Ambala district.
