Char Dham yatra which means visiting four sacred places, the Hindu pilgrimage circuit of Indian Himalayas represents two Shakta sites (Yamonotri and Gangotri) one Vaishnav site (Badrinath) and one Shaiva site (Kedarnath). It is among the most visited shrines by devotees from all over the world. Enroute you can visit various shrines and the journey will take you through the most picturesque and mesmerising landscape of the Himalayas. CHAR DHAM TOUR PACKAGE
DEHRADUN – YAMONOTRI
The state government helipad on Sahastradhara Road, Dehradun is the starting and concluding point of this yatra. After a briefing from the ground staff, you are flown to Yamonotri, where you visit the Yamonotri temple for darshan. Yamonotri (3293) is the seat of river Goddess Yamuna lying on top of the Bandar Pooch Parvat. The idol of the goddess here is a black marble. The thermal spring of Janki Chatti ,is a special attraction.
YAMONOTRI – GANGOTRI
Depart from the Yamonotri helipad for Gangotri. This religious town is placed on the banks of the Bhagirathi River, later known as Ganga. The temple is located 22km from the helipad at a height of 3100m.Gaumukh in the Gangotri glacier is the originating point of the river Ganges. The Gangotri temple was constructed in the 18th century. In the evening you can enjoy an evening walk in the nearby villages, soaking in the spirituality of this place.
GANGOTRI – KEDARNATH
You have to depart from Harsil helipad and then change chopper at Guptkashi and arrive at Kedarnath. This place is the most remote site among all the Char Dhams. The Kedarnath temple, the holy shrine of Lord Shiva .The temple is just a 15 minute walk from the helipad. The Nandi bull at the entrance of the temple is considered to be divine. Do visit the Triyuginarayan temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. At 4am you can watch the Rudra abhishek at the temple.
KEDARNATH – BADRINATH
From Guptkashi take a chopper to Badrinath .Visit the holy temple of Lord Vishnu. Later visit the Mana village the last village before Indo- China border. Attend the special Abhishek Puja at the temple , which starts at 4.30 am and continues for around 2 hours. Depart from Badrinath helipad to Sahastradhara helipad in Dehradun.
